Immersive Geolocated Storytelling

Within the last decade we have seen storytelling evolve in ways no one could of imagined 30 plus years ago. With the development of smart phones people now have the chance to walk around anywhere, pull out their phone and be immersed in a story. Thanks to apps such as ECHOES, not only can anyone listen to interactive stories, but anyone across the globe can create them. However, creating an immersive geolocated story is not straight forward. The story teller has many ways of making sure their story is not only interesting but safe as well as useable. For example it is vital that the listener is not in danger of being hit by a car if the story takes place near a busy road. Furthermore, the storyteller must also take note f the surrounding environment, for example if the story happens near a busy road the story teller must account for the noise of traffic and increase the volume of the story in the area. If these different scenarios as well as many others are taken into account then it will help the story to be much more immersive and overall successful.
